The Miller Diversified Construction team recently completed an auto dealership in Maumee, Ohio for Jim White Honda. The new building is 50,000 square feet, which is more than 3 times the size of Honda’s previous building and was completed for the company’s 19th anniversary.
“We were excited to take work with the Jim White Honda Team,” Kurt Miller said. “ We know the financial risk of such a large investment by the White Family, especially during COVID uncertainty, was significant and we are grateful they relied on and trusted Miller Diversified Construction Co. and our dealership construction experience to team with them to bring this project to fruition. Their knowledge, along with Pitchel Architects, and the attention to the details of new facility was impressive and made for a strong Owner, Architect, Contractor Team.”
General Manager, Chris Gomez, was impressed with the Miller Diversified team’s level of commitment to quality and efficiency. “This was built and pretty much completed in less than a year,” said Gomez. “That is amazing work to be done from tear-down to fully-functioning 50,000 square foot dealership.”

- A COMFORTABLE CUSTOMER WAITING AREA, INCLUDING A REFRESHMENTS COUNTER
- AN ALL-NEW CAR WASH SYSTEM
- SECOND FLOOR OFFICES, INCLUDING A TEAM BREAK ROOM AND A CONFERENCE AREA
The project received high remarks in a recent article in the Toledo Blade. Tim White Jr., President of the White Family Companies, said that this facility would be “the nicest Honda store in our network.”
THE MILLER DIVERSIFIED CONSTRUCTION DIFFERENCE
This project started in 2021 and was completed in early 2022, despite conditions that could have caused severe delays.
“You can’t control the weather,” said Miller Diversified Superintendent Tom Cramer, “and we had one of the worst, rainiest springs I can remember. We were waiting for the concrete to go in, and every time the ground was almost dry enough, it would rain again.”
Cramer credits the Miller Diversified scheduling team and the entire team’s positivity and collaboration with the success of completing this project in a timely manner while still delivering a project that meets our high standards.
“Our team really delivered on this one,” Cramer said. “Between the rain and COVID, we had a lot to contend with, but our team’s proactive planning really is what brought this project to completion on time. Everyone on our team is always ready to give the support needed to make it happen. The team has such a positive attitude. We just pushed that much harder to keep things on track after all that rain, and we made sure it got done, and that it all got done right…and at the end of the day, we have a really happy client.”
